Birthday Weekend...

Somehow my girls have both started a phenomenon that I wish I had thought about a lot earlier in life. Both have eeked out ways to have birthday WEEKENDS instead of simply a single birthday...hmmm..they are definitely maximizing on the fun and gifts from friends and family...

Well, we all had fun for Sophie's birthday weekend...we went to the beach where she had the itinerary all planned out. We started the day at her favorite breakfast restaurant which we have been visiting for years. It is called Hot Stacks but Sophie calls it "Sophie Restaurant" because a waitress named Sophie has been waiting on us for years...

We then went to what had to have been one of the hottest places on Earth, Alligator Adventure...we have not been for a few years so it was fun to see all of the new attractions...

Needless to say, I did not go into the reptile house with the rest of the family....:)

It was a great afternoon, but we were exhausted and drenched in sweat. Unluckily for us, Sophie had lots more planned for the day. We went back to the condo and swam (which was actually quite refreshing) and then headed out to her final destination Broadway at the Beach. Stephanie decided to take Sophie to Build-a-Bear for her gift. As it turns out, Thomas had never had a bear, so they created one, too...

Our family now has two new "bears"..."Spot" the Dalmatian and "Tommy Fudge Pup".....

The last thing on the agenda was eating at one of Sophie's favorite restaurants...Yamato's Japanese Steak House...she calls it Mulan food (Stephanie did too when she was little)....

Rubbing Budda's belly for luck! It was truly a great day....my heart is full....
