Randomness....

Just a little randomness from our lives...

Anyone who knows us will roll their eyes at this one. Thanks to Steph and her save-every-animal attitude, we have a new kitty. Last week she came home from the restaurant with a little surprise..a kitten. She found it wandering in the middle of the highway and decided that we had plenty of room for her (insert sarcasm here...) We kept her in the barn for a few days because we didn't want her to mix with our other kitties before getting checked out from the vet. I must admit that I was smitten with her from the beginning. To sum it up, after getting shots, "fixed," and declawed, we brought her home yesterday. She is very loving and cuddly, but let's just say that Baby and Rosie haven't quite adapted to her yet--they are a work in progress! :)

Stephanie named her Katniss...any literary fan will recognize the name from The Hunger Games...we both love the character Katniss.

Since I am talking about Steph and all her animals, her are two pictures from school....she gets to feed her love for all four-legged creatures there...just don't bring any more home! :)

Insta-Friday

It's been a while since I've done Insta-Friday at Life Rearranged...the pictures go a few weeks back. They a just a glimpse into my daily life.

In mid-September we made our annual visit to the Greek Festival in Raleigh. They serve the most incredible lamb shank there that cannot be found anywhere else outside of Greece. We brought the HUGE lamb bones home for Bingo and Daisy. Quite quickly we learned that they love the Greek Festival, too...:)

At Pier One, Linda and Sophie found what I've been looking for for years--utensil big enough for Angelo to eat his spaghetti!

Ang and Sophie stopped by for Open House at school a few weeks ago...she loves to play on my Smart Board.

Guess who's NOT being a werewolf for Halloween?  I HATE scary costumes (I also hate the Christmas decorations behind her..It's only October!!!)....

I also HATE scary decorations, but Ang thought that he would be a comedian and buy this "thing." He hung it outside my bathroom and scared the mess out of me...I was not amused...:(

Supermodel again...

Someone please tell my husband that this can't be healthy...lol...

What I'm Loving Wednesday

It's that time again. I'm linking with Jamie this week for What I'm Loving Wednesday and spotlighting what I'm really loving right now.

1. I'm really loving that this is my 50th blog post!!!!!

2. I'm really loving milder temperatures in North Carolina. I was so tired of the typical summer weather here---hot and humid, hot and humid, hot and humid...... It gets old really fast. Things seem to be changing, though, and I think that I can finally feel relief in sight.With the exception of last weekend's hurricane rain, we have had perfect weather.

3. I'm really loving the fact that Fayetteville finally got a Mellow Mushroom! Sophie and I ate there tonight with my SIL Vicky and close friends Stephanie and Dennis. It was yummy! I'm so happy that we finally have a decent pizza place in town.



4. I never thought that I would say this, but I'm really enjoying taking care of Stephanie's sugar glider Todd while she is away during the week at school. Dorms do not allow pets, so I knew that he would be in my care. At first I was not pleased because I have always been afraid that he would bite me. He does bite,  (everyday!) but it's still really fun to feed and try to cuddle him at night. He really misses his mommy though, and we are both glad when they can see each other on the weekends.

5. I am obsessed right now with the blog IHeart Organizing. Jen is truly an organizing genius, and I cannot wait to read her posts everyday. She inspires me, and I often find myself dreaming of organizing my house like hers (nerdy, I know). If you haven't checked her out, do so immediately! Your house will thank you!

Insta-Friday

I'm joining Life Rearranged for Insta-Friday, a way to showcase little things from your week with the Instagram app from the IPhone...if you have been reading my posts for a while (anyone?), you know that I love Instagram, so here goes....

 Sophie playing around at our end-of-school luncheon...the theme was quite appropriate--sun and fun....ahhh...I can't wait!

Sophie and I decided to get pedicures for Stephanie's graduation. She chose blue to match her dress...my friend Steph decided to join us, though we were very preoccupied with planning graduation and playing pranks on co-workers that we spent a lot of time on the phone, as you can see in this picture...:)

Our horses, Patch, Neon, and Minnie, bring us lots of joy..horses are such peaceful animals...

Sophie and Jack...a running joke among us is my fear of Jack Skellington...he has a strange way of popping up in weird places...

Rosie makes a good remote holder...

Then again, so does Lucy...
